Cellulite is no longer a life sentence. Cellulaze is a state-of-the-art laser technology that actually works to reduce cellulite and contour the body.
Right after Cellulaze was developed, H/K/B was one of just five test centers that provided data and information to the FDA on the safety and efficacy of the device. This data helped the FDA decide to certify it in 2012. So, our physicians and surgeons, Dr. Hunstad, Dr. Kortesis, and Dr. Bharti have been on the forefront of this technology from day one, which means that we have more experience with the device than all but four other practices in the country.
Cellulaze can be done as a standalone non-invasive procedure, or it can be combined with liposuction to provide removal of fatty tissue, as well as smoothing of cellulite. During your consultation, we will recommend the best procedure or combination of procedures to bring you the results you want.
What can Cellulaze do for me?
Cellulaze is a skin tightening laser procedure that can significantly improve the appearance of cellulite.
What can I expect during a Cellulaze treatment?
Cellulaze can be performed in our offices on an outpatient basis using local anesthesia. If liposuction is performed simultaneously, you might be put under general anesthesia at our fully accredited surgical facility on our beautiful campus, where our highly qualified nurses will pamper you. Our nurses are certified in advanced cardiac life support, which ensures the highest level of supervision, evaluation, and care in the unlikely event of an emergency. We also work with advanced anesthesia providers.
Cellulaze requires that a couple of very small incisions be made – no larger than the tip of a pen. A tiny tube called a cannula is inserted in the incisions, and the laser fiber is threaded through it. The fiber then levels out the dimples of fat and liquefies it so that the fat can be pressed out of the body.
The procedure takes 1 to 1-1/2 hours.
How long does it take to recover from Cellulaze?
The results of Cellulaze are not immediate. The cellulite skin tightening effects are usually realized by 3 months following surgery and continue to improve for 6 months.
Almost no recovery time is required after Cellulaze. You can return to work and other normal activities within 1-2 days and resume strenuous activities in 1-2 weeks.
You can expect some mild bruising and discomfort, but many patients do not even feel the need to take over-the-counter pain medication. Some fluid might leak from the incision sites for a few days, and we might provide you with a compression garment to prevent swelling.
Of course, we will monitor your progress and answer any questions you have.
How long does Cellulaze last?
Cellulaze results have been shown to last 2-1/2 years or longer and may be long lasting in some cases.
