Radio Frequency Microneedling

Radio Frequency Microneedling

Over time, the skin takes on some wear and tear. You might notice this in the form of age spots, fine lines, or wrinkles. Or, you may notice jowling, sagging skin caused by a loss of elasticity. The good news is that your body has a lot of built-in power to heal itself; and, with the right therapeutic approach, you can tap into that healing power, rejuvenating your skin and reversing some of the most prominent signs of age.

That’s what microneedling is all about. Essentially, this is a process in which a tiny needle helps create “micro injuries” on your skin. These micro injuries help to kick-start the body’s innate healing abilities, leading to the production of new collagen and elastin.

The result? You can expedite the process by which you shed old skin and gain healthy new skin, reversing some of those unwanted signs of age.

At H/K/B Cosmetic Surgery, we’re pleased to provide our patients with access to advanced microneedling options, including microneedling that uses radio frequency energy to stimulate additional collagen production. This is one of the best non-surgical options to make your skin tighter, firmer, and more youthful in appearance. About Morpheus 8

A second option for radio frequency microneedling is Morpheus8. Morpheus 8 Microneedling is another form of advanced RF microneedling, designed to stimulate new tissue development in the adipose tissue of the dermis. The microneedling effect provokes a healing response, triggering collagen production. Meanwhile, radio frequency energy reaches approximately 4mm deep into the skin, expediting tissue tightening and remodeling.

In short, Morpheus8 microneedling can improve the appearance of:

  • Excess, sagging fat around the face and neck
  • Jowling, or sagging skin along the jawline
  • Uneven skin texture
  • Stretch marks
  • Age spots or damage from the sun
  • Scars from acne
  • Deep lines, creases, and wrinkles
  • Enlarged pores

What to Expect from Morpheus 8 Radio Frequency Microneedling

For Morpheus8 patients, we’ll generally employ a local anesthesia, which dampens the effect of the needles. Treatments are performed with a small, handheld applicator. A single treatment will last just a few minutes (it may vary depending on the surface area of the treated area), and most patients will need somewhere between two and four treatments in order to get the desired results.

Note that, following a treatment, you may experience some minor swelling or bruising. Some makeup can be applied to conceal the initial effects of Morpheus8, and patients are free to return immediately to work or to their other, normal activities.
